Canvas Health's New Choices for Adolescents is a program for adolescents (age 13-18) who are in the secure population at East Central Regional Juvenile Center in Lino Lakes. The program utilizes a cognitive treatment model based on research and evaluation that has been found to be effective with substance-abusing juvenile offenders. The program provides service coordination across systems and gradually incorporates informal community supports to prepare youths for transition to their home community.
