Conceptual Counseling has provided outpatient chemical health services to adult men and women since 1984. We’ve built our reputation on being responsive and welcoming to people seeking chemical health services.
We provide timely, thorough chemical health assessments that can usually be scheduled within two days of request. In cases where there is a need, we are usually able to accommodate same day assessments. Intake into our programs is also expedited with our open, revolving group structure.
Conceptual Counseling’s programs address a continuum of services ranging from drug and alcohol education classes to outpatient treatment. Our treatment options have two general tracks. One track is for clients who would benefit from twice weekly services. Here, we offer our outpatient program that meets two times per week with an average length of eight weeks. For individuals who have completed treatment recently or in the past and desire further support, we have a one-time per week group, focused on relapse prevention, with the average length of eight weeks. Both treatment tracks are available in mixed groups. We have both evening and morning options.
Following primary treatment, based on need, there is the option of transitioning to the continuing care/recovery maintenance phase of our programs–meeting weekly to focus on strengthening relapse prevention, building and strengthening supportive community connections. Additionally, Conceptual Counseling provides space for several free sober support group meetings that can nurture and sustain recovery and fellowship beyond treatment. These meetings are open to the public.
Our approach is an informed eclecticism that utilizes strategies from: Stages of Change Theory, Motivational Enhancement Therapy, CBT, DBT, solution focused practices and mindfulness practices. We individualize treatment and goals based on client’s needs and preferences taking into account their stage of change.
Our Prime for Life Educational Program is based on the latest research. This is an evidence-based motivational program to foster drug and alcohol behavior change. Our experience has been that this self-pay educational program is a great fit for people making high risk choices in their alcohol and drug use.
