About Sonia
Sonia believes organizations work best when they put people first. Over the past 30 years, she’s worked across the nonprofit world building capacity, awareness, and systems that make services more accessible… whether helping address food insecurity, supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence, or, now, improving access to mental health and substance use disorder care.
Sonia is the Executive Director of FastTrackerMN, the Minnesota Psychiatric Society, and the Minnesota Society of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. Her work focuses on building strong teams, efficient systems, and partnerships that make a difference.
Before stepping into these roles, Sonia served as Chief Operating Officer at StrongHearts Native Helpline, a national nonprofit supporting Native communities affected by domestic and sexual violence, and as Advancement Director at Family Pathways, leading fundraising and communications efforts to combat food insecurity across Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Sonia lives in the Chisago Lakes area with her husband of 26 years, their 19-year-old son, and their dog Joe. She enjoys kayaking, puzzles, movies, adventures and music, and spends much of her time outdoors working on their off-grid cabin and land.
