Our Story
Since 2012, FastTrackerMN has evolved from a small project into a statewide resource connecting Minnesotans to mental health and substance use disorder services.
The History of FastTrackerMN

2012: Our Beginning
FastTrackerMN began when Linda, director of the Psychiatric Society, saw how hard it was for families to find available mental health care, especially for teens. FastTrackerMN launched as a project of the MN Mental Health Community Foundation, to connect people to available mental health openings.

2017: Expanding Our Search
FastTrackerMN.org expands to include real-time information on substance use disorder openings, helping Minnesotans access care faster to help address the rising number of opioid overdoses.

2023: Expanding Our Reach
FastTrackerMN.org expanded its reach by translating all resources into Spanish, Somali, and Hmong, making it easier for more Minnesotans to access care.

2024: Expanding Our Reach
FastTrackerMN launches the Fast Track to Help campaign, providing simple tools to find support, check in on friends, and learn about mental health, with a focus on youth.
Today
FastTrackerMN.org remains a free resource connecting Minnesotans to mental health and substance use disorder service availability. With a six-person team, we continue to grow to better serve our communities and expand awareness of this lifesaving tool.
