Our intensive outpatient program offers a higher level of support than you would receive in traditional outpatient therapy. This level of care might be a good fit for you if you can benefit from a more structured outpatient setting but don’t need the round-the-clock monitoring of a residential program.

When you choose the IOP at Burkwood Treatment Center, you will take part in therapy on a set schedule with the flexibility to return home or to supported housing when the treatment day ends.

This format gives you the opportunity to apply what you’ve learned in therapy to your daily life, with real-time feedback throughout the therapeutic process. This continual feedback can help you start to transition back to your community and regular routine.

Some people step down to our IOP from a higher level of care, while others step up from a traditional outpatient program. You can also directly enter our intensive outpatient program without having completed another level of care.
