Refreshing Perspectives Therapy LLC

Refreshing Perspectives Therapy helps clients find balance and happiness through examining choice and control in a trauma-informed approach. Sandra Kroll, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, provides in-person and video individual therapy from adolescence through end of life. She guides clients through challenges related to depression, anxiety, anger, trauma, grief/loss and relationships. Ms. Kroll has extensive experience helping Veterans, Military, First Responders, Medical Personnel and their families navigate their unique mental health needs.

Refreshing Perspectives Therapy was founded on the principle that Mental Health Recovery is achievable. Its clients are active participants in their treatment, working toward their goals from the first session.  Sandra uses well researched techniques to help clients address mental health at their own pace.

As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a master’s degree in Social Work from Boise State University,  she uses a direct approach to addressing mental health founded on the principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the leading evidence-based approach to psychotherapy.  Over the past decade, Ms. Kroll honed her therapy skills in settings including adult and children’s acute and residential treatment facilities as well as community-based interventions and outpatient clinics. While at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center, Sandra worked extensively with veterans and their families.  This diverse background allows her to draw on a variety of skills to guide clients on their personal journey toward mental wellness.

Sandra is also certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), the main treatment for trauma endorsed by the Veterans Health Administration. Averaging just 12 sessions, CPT takes a direct approach to overcoming the effects of trauma. CPT was originally developed to help survivors of sexual assault and is highly effective in addressing all traumas.
