55+/Senior Outpatient Mental Health Program Currently providing virtual programming. Groups meet for 3 hours a day 3 days per week for Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP). The duration is appromimately 12 weeks. This program can be an alternative to partial or inpatient psychiatric hospitalization. The program speciality focuses on the unique needs of those who are over age 55 years and may be experiencing life transitions that are impacted by their mental health. Please note this is mental health treatment and not senior day care, dementia care or a recreational program. IOP groups are facilitiated by a team of mental health professionals. Adult Day Treatment and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Currently providing virtual programming. Groups meet 3 hours per day 3 days per week. Duration is about 12 weeks. This is often a step-down or alternative to partial or inpatient psychiatric hospitalization. IOP groups are facilitated by a team of mental health professionals. Day treatment programs are facilitated by a multi-disciplinary team of mental health professionals. Specialty tracks may include groups for young adults or mid-age adults, those experiencing psychosis (first episode or long-term) and those diagnosed with a personality and/or mood disorder. Adult Dual Disorder Program Currently provided by telehealth only. Groups meet 3 hours per day 5 days per week for adult day treatment or 3 hours per day 4 days per week for the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Both tracks last between 6-8 weeks. The programs combine mental health and substance use disorder. Mental health is the primary diagnosis, although both conditions are treated equally. IOP groups facilitated by mental health professionals who are also licensed alcohol and drug counselors. Day Treatment groups are facilitated by a multi-disciplinary team. This is often a step-down from inpatient or residential treatment or an alternative to a higher level of care. Psychiatric medication management may be provided. Adult Partial Hospitalization Program Currently providing virtual programming. The program meets 5 hours per day 5 days per week. The duration is between 2-3 weeks and includes intensive, short-term outpatient programming to help stabilize mental health symptoms. This program is often a step-down or alternative to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization. Regular visits with a psychiatric provider includes medication management. Groups are facilitated by a multi-disciplinary team. The program also includes a multi-family support network group. Problem Gambling Program Currently providing virtual programming with in-person options. This program offers in-depth Gambling Assessments, including for Rule 82. Clients in need of help may be referred to our Gambling Program or to another organization in our community. The program begins with Phase I which meets 3 evenings per week for 2 hours with a total of 24 sessions. Patients step down to Phase II which occurs 2 nights weekly for 2 hours with an additional 20 sessions. Phase III is optional based on client needs. Clients participate in group therapy, family group, meet with counselors individually and attend lectures. Family members are strongly encouraged to attend the family group. Recovery Clinic Services provided in-person and via telemedicine. The Recovery Clinic provides bridging services to people with Opiate Use Disorders (OUD) seeking care. This is a front door to Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), peer recovery services, brief psychotherapy for issues related to OUD and nursing services. The team can assist in coordinating a Substance Use Disorder assessment. Serves people 16 years and older. Open 5 days weekly. Walk-In hours: Monday, Wednesday, Fridays 9:00-11:00 AM & 1:00-3:00 PM Tuesday & Thursdays 1:30-4:00 PM Please note: People in withdrawal and/or need medical attention should go to the Emergency Department. Child Day Treatment Mental health programming for children ages 6-12 years. There is both IOP and partial hospitalization available. Interventions include cognitive behavioral and skills-based approaches. Adolescent Day Treatment Mental health programming for adolescents ages 12-18 years. There is both IOP and partial hospitalization available. Interventions include cognitive behavioral and skills-based approaches. UMN Physicians Afterschool Intensive Outpatient Program (UMN IOP) This is a 6 week cognitive behavioral intervention with three 2-week modules based on cognitions, emotions and feelings.
