MHS is an independently owned intensive outpatient mental health clinic that specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for individuals ages 12 and up, in a group setting. We also offer individual therapy to support our group clients during their time at MHS. In addition to having State-Certified DBT, we also offer a number of speciality DBT programs to fit different needs of the community. We have 5 locations throughout the Twin Cities, as well as a virtual clinic where services can be received in a group setting via telehealth.<\/p>\n
DBT is an evidence-based practice that implements skills teachings with a dynamic balance of acceptance and change strategies to help people with the management of a number of mental health needs, including addiction. DBT is beneficial for individuals struggling with safety concerns, emotion regulation, interpersonal conflict, and a number of other concerns. DBT skills are life skills that everyone can benefit from.<\/p>\n
MHS accepts most insurance plans including State insurance. Some insurance plans may limit which of our programs are covered but our administrative staff will verify this prior to the intake process.<\/p>\n
